Augeo® Clean Multi – when technology meets nature!
Augeo® is an innovative line of Solvey solvents developed from glycerin, a renewable resource, based on high performance. This bio-based solvent, an alternative to petrochemical solvents, is a colorless and clear liquid composed of flexible molecules, with high solubility, low odor, non-corrosive and low volatility. It is miscible with common organic solvents and water. Augeo® Clean Multi can be used in various applications such as air care, fragrances, paints and varnishes, printing inks, household and institutional cleaners, leather and many more, meeting the current and future requirements of end users.
Augeo® Clean Multi is a high-performance solvent widely used in fragrance dilution and air care products worldwide. Designed as a natural solubilizer, Augeo® Clean Multi is ideal for applications such as reed diffuser bases and fragrance carriers, as it effectively enhances and extends the life of fragrances, providing a long-lasting fragrance experience.
With a low vapor pressure (LVP) and VOC profile, Augeo® Clean Multi provides low odor and optimal evaporation rate, enhancing fragrance performance without overpowering it. Its main raw material is glycerin - a by-product of biodiesel production, derived primarily from soybeans - making Augeo® Clean Multi approximately 70% renewable. This makes it up to 40% lower in carbon footprint compared to other solvents, such as dipropylene glycol (DPG), dipropylene glycol methyl ether (DPM) and dipropylene glycol methyl ether acetate (DPMA).
Augeo® Clean Multi seamlessly combines an environmentally friendly formula with high efficacy, providing a superior, long-lasting sensory experience for users.
The Solvay company is one of those names in the industry that combines tradition, innovation and sustainability. Founded in 1863 by the Belgian chemist and entrepreneur Ernest Solvay, it began its history with the invention of the so-called "Solvay process" - a revolutionary method for producing soda ash (sodium carbonate). This process not only changed the chemical industry of the 19th century, but also laid the foundations for a company that remains one of the global leaders in the field of chemistry to this day.
Today, Solvay has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and a presence in over 40 countries worldwide. Its laboratories and manufacturing centers employ more than 9,000 employees dedicated to developing chemical solutions that matter to people's everyday lives — from clean air and water, to lightweight and sustainable materials for transportation and energy.
